If you are a Globe and Mail reader you may have seen a familiar slogan in the "Next Million" insert provided by KPMG. Author Sarah Barmak adopted our community movement name "We Are Wearables" as the title of her trend piece on wearable technology calling "Canada ground zero for the smart-tech revolution".
Well what do we have here? We Are Wearables Toronto featured in the same segment as a CES fashion show and the official launch of Will.i.am's PULS to illustrate wearables new focus on fashion! Check it out!
The second annual UofT Hacks wrapped up earlier this week in Toronto. The theme of this year's hack was Social Benefit which challenged teams to use tech to for the betterment of mankind and boy did they deliver. The 3-day event saw 500 participants team up and submit 115 hacks using both software and hardware to do some good.
February's We Are Wearables Toronto (WWTO) featured a presentation from the world's first smart earring, Ear-o-Smart followed by a panel conversation on "Wearables for Women". UX Designer and partner at Pixelbot, Jessica Fan, sat in on the event and captured all the golden nuggets in her sketch notes. We've got them here.
