On Thursday, May 21st, at 7:00pm, Cirque-It: A Wearable-tech Fashion Circus is debuting in Toronto’s Distillery District for the first time ever, as part of the Circus North Festival. Get ready for circus like you’ve never seen it before. Cirque-It showcases the collaborative efforts of talented fashion designers, renowned circus performers and “wearable technology” makers, who have teamed up to create a sensory-immersive circus event. These one-of-a-kind, wearable-tech fashion designs allow performers to create and conduct music, sound effects, lighting changes, and other high-tech sensory surprises (we don’t want to give it all away!) with every purposeful movement.

Aerialists, partner acts, dancers and more will interact with `the tech-designed garments they’re wearing to affect their clothing, equipment and the space around them in interesting and unusual ways. You’ll find your senses stimulated and immersed in this ground-breaking event. It’s an innovative showcase of collaborate, stylish and creative (while still functional) fashion, creative technological design, and carefully choreographed performance art.

This is a 19+ event, so you can have a drink and munch finger-foods while you explore EXPO ALLEY in between acts to learn more about the tech at the event. There will be tons of other stuff on display too: fashion, showcasing outfits from the performances, a circus-themed photography gallery, and other cutting edge tech experiences.

Cirque-It is presented by the Circus North festival – an exploration of art, performance, technology and circus – and produced by Noble Sky – interactive producers.www.cirque-it.com.
