VRTO, a Toronto Virtual Reality organization, is challenging industry professionals, members of the public, and press to navigate new realms of technology, art and culture at the Virtual & Augmented Reality World Conference & Expo. Running from June 26th - 27th at the Mattamy Centre (formerly Maple Leaf Gardens) with an industry day and special performance on June 25th, the Conference & Expo.

The show - featuring over 45 speakers from Los Angeles, New York, Vancouver, Montreal and Toronto provides an inside view to the production, distribution and ethical considerations of the Virtual, Augmented, Mixed and Mediated Reality technologies alongside Wearables, Internet of Things (IoT), cryptocurrencies (like Ethereum and Bitcoin) and the next-web.

It also offers an exhibition hall that focuses on offering audiences premium interactive immersive experiences with such technology as Samsung Gear VR, Oculus Rift and room scale HTC Vive and exhibitors that include Mettle, DEEP, Cream 360, CFC, Dashwood 360VR, Game Pill, Globacore and more.

The entire conference & expo is bringing industry leaders that include Ana Serrano - Chief Digital Officer from the Canadian Film Centre, visionary filmmaker Brett Leonard(Lawnmower Man, Virtuosity), Prof. Steve Mann the critically acclaimed founding father of wearable technology and Chief Scientist at Silicon Valley augmented reality company Meta, and many more.

About VRTO

Founded in 2015, VRTO (Virtual Reality Toronto) is an organization whose mission is to explore, develop and promote the intersection of arts, culture, society, research and science through immersive technologies such as virtual reality, augmented reality, mixed reality, and wearable technology. Founders of VRTO host the widely known FIVARS (Festival of International Virtual and Augmented Reality Stories), an annual festival designed to push the boundaries and definitions of interactive and immersive media.
