May 5 WWTO featured Apple Watch and the official launch of Linkitz, a wearable toy that teaches girls how to code.

On stage, the night kicked off with a panel of journalists talking about their reactions of the Apple Watch post-launch, from retail to fashion and tech. It was followed by a panel of some of the first companies to launch Apple Watch apps including theScore, Tangerine, Realtor.ca, Pizza Pizza, ecobee and the Globe and Mail. This panel discussion focused on creating meaningful experiences for a smartwatch. The night ended with a bang with the official launch of Linkitz, a modular and programmable wearable toy for girls. The launch included the start of the company's Kickstarter campaign.

After the on-stage sessions, WWTO continued in the lower concourse at MaRS with demo tables from TWG, Voovo, Linkitz, Plastic, Tangerine and ecobee to let the audience get their hands on tech.
